The fashion for natural cosmetics that has emerged in recent years is growing. Natural cosmetics are made from natural products and not artificial synthetic. They are divided into herbal cosmetics (with herbal ingredients), cosmetics containing ingredients of animal origin and placenta cosmetics.
The herbal cosmetics contain herbal extracts, flowers, roots, essential oils, resins, acids. They have a softer effect on the skin, hair, nails than the usual aggressive chemical cosmetics. They work only on the upper layers of the skin, so any product – lotion, soap – based on herbal ingredients can also be made at home.
Below are some recipes for herbal cosmetics you can make at home:
Hair Recipe
Did you finish your shampoo? Don’t worry. The following mix is easy, fast and, above all, affordable! Mix 2 to 4 tablespoons of baking soda depending on the length of your hair, with water. Begin to spread from roots to edges and leave the mixture for a few minutes. Then rinse with plenty of lukewarm water, while in the last rinse you can use apple cider with water instead of conditioner. Apple cider will give incredible shine to your hair and your hair will be easily combed and will remain soft and without a trace of grease.
Recipe for Toothpaste
Mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 teaspoon of sea salt or Himalayan salt and 20 drops of peppermint or mint or orange essential oil. Finally, add deionized water, stirring, until your mixture has a paste texture and then store in a jar.
Recipe for Deodorant
Do you still use antiperspirants that are in trade? You would have noticed that many of them leave yellow on the armpits of the blouses and shirts. These yellows don’t come from sweat, but from chemicals such as aluminum, parabens and other. Research has also shown that some substances contained in them are harmful.
Mix 6 tablespoons of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of cornflour or cornflower and 25 drops of essential oil, lavender, rose, lemon etc. Mix all the ingredients in the mixture and put the mixture in a jar. Apply a small amount to each area of the armpit and rub it. It leaves a sense of coolness and a subtle smell.
