What makes you age prematurely
What makes you age prematurely? We all have seen the 90-year-olds who stay active, run and drive still. But also people who are around 50 and can barely move.
Therefore, if you want to stay fit and active, avoid some things that accelerate aging.
Bad nutrition
A diet poor in nutrients is a guarantee that you will age sooner than your DNA predicts.
To cut calories and increase nutrients, aim to eat unprocessed foods. Like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and meat.
Also limit your consumption of processed foods which are loaded with salt, sugar and preservatives.
Not enough sleep
If you don’t get enough sleep or your sleep is of poor quality, your body suffers. Sleep helps the brain create new synapses and recharge the body’s systems.
Poor sleep has been linked to weight gain, cancer and many other health problems.
Stress
Some stress can be beneficial as it keeps you alert through the release of hormones such as adrenaline.
But chronic stress causes headaches, migraines and cardiovascular problems. Over time, chronic stress can make you look and feel older.
Inactivity
Sedentary life has many and serious effects on health. It gradually inactivates skeletal muscles in the lower body and increases metabolic risk.
The sooner you change the situation, the more you reduce the risks.
Start taking breaks at work and get up to walk around.
Toxins
Scientists have been saying for years that exposure to toxins such as lead, mercury or arsenic can kill you.
Chronic exposure to relatively low amounts of toxic chemicals can have devastating effects on our health.
These substances accumulate in the blood, body fat or other tissues and disrupt hormones and other body systems.
Addictions
If you can avoid alcohol abuse and smoking you’re giving yourself a huge gift. The damage they cause to your body is enormous.
Teens that drink or smoke are three times more likely to die prematurely.
You ignore the risk factors
If you have high blood pressure, high blood sugar, or high cholesterol and you don’t do anything about it, you’re damaging your body.
Often people don’t know that they suffer from any of the above problems. By the time they have a heart attack or stroke, it’s too late.
So don’t neglect to take physical exams often.
